Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding, Nostalgic Cartoons, Weekends: My Tuesday Gratitudes
Thank you all so much for your kind words on yesterday’s post. I could probably make this entire post about my gratitude for that, the healthy peanut I’m growing, and literally anything and everything in that realm, but I’ll keep it to one line in today’s entry. Life is funny and exciting and surprising, and I find there’s always a rainbow after a thunderstorm. Heck, most times, the rainbow pops up before you’ve registered that the dark clouds have left or are about to roll away. Ain’t that something? As much as pain and suffering can feel incredibly stagnant as if nothing is moving forward or getting better, progress is happening, albeit small. Always forward.
So, with that said, here’s what I’m grateful for today and this week:
I’m grateful for my body. It’s a warrior, and while it still gets on my nerves most days, it keeps chugging along, supporting me through all the things.
I’m grateful for chocolate chia seed pudding!
I’m grateful for my mom who hasn’t stopped sewing and tinkering with all things baby clothes and booties and burp clothes since the day I told her she was adding another nugget to her roster of grandbabies.
I’m grateful for warm baths with soothing Epsom salts.
I’m grateful for weekends.
I’m grateful for being able to stream old nostalgic cartoons with Charles and laugh like kids.
I’m grateful for my plants who I chat with weekly as I water them. Yup, I’m that person.
I’m grateful for a random leftover rotisserie chicken in the fridge so I can upcycle it into a stock for lentil soup this week!
I’m grateful for rather wonderful neighbors.
I’m grateful for the luxury of options.
I’m grateful for cute little orange pumpkins leftover from a photoshoot I now get to scatter around my living areas.
I’m grateful for a partner like Charles.
I’m grateful for you, readers.
See you tomorrow, FOAS!
