Healthy Chocolate Popsicle, Charming House Tour, Rabbit Rabbit Day Winner: 5 Quick Things
Project 365, Day 218/365
It’s time to announce the August Rabbit, Rabbit Day giveaway winner! As a reminder, I was picking from anyone signed up to receive my email newsletter. Random number 133 was given to me from Google’s generator, which lead me to a subscriber whose email starts with llsimons! I’ll be emailing you today to claim the Juniper Print Shop prize! Keep an eye out. Thank you to everyone who already subscribes and any new people to join!
Now, let’s get to some quick things I was eyeing this week:
Quick Thing #1
I have long loved Eva Chen, since back in her editor-in-chief days at Lucky Magazine. A handful of years older than me, she’s been kind of like a goal roadmap for me. Over the past year, I’ve been following her renovate and decorate her Connecticut cabin along with design firm Hendricks Churchill and it was finally revealed today on Architectural Digest. It’s so charming, inviting, and a touch English…all the things I love.
Quick Thing #2
After taking some “easy reading” recommendations, I’ve picked up two new books to read. While I can’t actually recommend them because I’ve yet to crack the spine, here’s what my nose will be in for the next few weeks: “Beach Read” by Emily Henry and “Paris Is Always a Good Idea” by Jenn McKinlay.
Quick Thing #3
Again, if you don’t follow Tabitha Brown on Instagram, you’re missing out on a literal ray of sunshine. If you read yesterday’s post, you know I was in my feels. And I know I needed that moment. But once I put myself to bed and did a little scrolling, Tabitha’s short little pep talk popped up on my screen and it was exactly what I needed to pick myself up and keep on chuggin’. I adore her.
Quick Thing #4
I’ve had a box of Chloe’s Pops sitting in my freezer for about a month. I bought them right before I decided to try to eliminate sugar for a short period. What a tease every time I reached in to grab ice for my water bottle. But today, I finally had one—I bought the dark chocolate variety—and wowow it was so good! They are made with water, cocoa, bananas, and cane sugar…nothing else, so free of dairy, soy, gluten, nuts and any other major allergen if that’s a concern for you and your household. A++
Quick Thing #5
New blog/Substack reading material alert: I’ve been seeing an old journalism school classmate share her blogposts, and today, I finally went and read some of them. Spoiler alert: they’re wonderful. It felt like something FOAS might enjoy, so I thought I’d share. Check out Our Tiny Rebellions (and don’t tell Heather I sent you because I can almost guarantee she doesn’t remember me haha).
See you tomorrow, FOAS.
