My Favorite Go-With-Everything Target Shoes
Project 365, Day 19
For some reason, anytime I publish a post lately that isn’t deep, head-y, feature-y, I feel like I have to start with an apology. “Sorry this post won’t change your life today.” But that’s silly. You guys want variety, yes? (Say yes.) Trust me, I have PLENTY of essays to write, just sitting in waiting in my mind, but some days, there’s a 50% sale on shoes at Target, and that’s what I write about.
Consider this my blanket apology for the rest of the year: sorry if what I post daily isn’t your cup of tea. Come back the next day, it just might be. But my brain is varied, hence so my blog will be, as well. Okay, are we all good to go on that front? (Mostly just asking myself to give my heart permission to just share whatever I feel like sharing every day, essay, sale, product, recipe…what have you.)
As I was saying, I got an alert in my email today that shoes are 50% off at Target right now if you are a Target Circle member, and I was like OHHH. Just what I need! Shoes I have nowhere to wear. But if you have places to go and shoes to buy, might as well share that news and some of my favorites because I LOVE to window shop.
Let’s take a look. Fair warning, it’s a whole heap of cognac faux leather (cognac is a wonderful wardrobe neutral) and a little snakeskin. Some booties, some flats and sandals—I live in LA, after all where winter is only a myth—and one sneaker because evidently, it’s not sneaker season at Target.
UPDATE: After I wrote this post, I realized the end date on the 50% Target Circle deal was January 18 (yesterday). WOMP WOMP. Good job Arlyn. I’m going to push this live regardless 1. because I don’t like wasting work and maybe there’s something here you still like and want to check out, and 2. possibly the sale will be extended and I don’t want to make assumptions.
Nora Cut Out Ankle Bootie: I love a bootie with a cut-out. It means you can slip in and out of them without having to deal with a zipper or a tight elastic, plus if you’ve got on cute socks, you get to show them off!
Rebecca Ballet Flats: A d’orsay flat is my go-to flat. They are kind of the perfect work shoe without feeling stuffy or boring.
Ellie Chelsea Boots: Dang I love a Chelsea boot. These are total rip-offs of Madewell’s Regan but without the three-figure price tag (or the leather, if you prefer to not wear animals on your feet).
Cari Cut Out Ankle Boots: Another cut out, but in a fun rattlesnake! Python? Some kind of snake print.
Wenda Cut Out Bootie: I’ve had my eye on these at Target for a bit now. They’ve been around for well over a year, maybe two. Anyone own these and can give them a thumbs up?
Rylie Wide Width Pointed Toe Ankle Bootie: These are another Madewell knock-off, but I could only find the wide version on Target.com. You’re in luck if you need a wider foot bed!
Marlee Knee High Heeled Fashion Boots: Call me wild, but I love these. You’re not wearing these somewhere and not getting noticed, which may or may not be your thing. I also thing something this bold is perfect to try out at a lower price point, in case you end up being a bit too shy to rock them.
Michaela Mid Block Heel Sandal Pumps: I own the lower heeled version of these and I love them. I used to wear them all the time, you know…when I went places.
Cleo Heeled Ankle Bootie: Target released this same boot years ago and I STILL have them. Solid. Especially for the price.
Emma Ankle Bootie: A little bootie in a leopard print! Just some fun.
Lois Crossband Sandals: There may be snow out your window, but dare to dream about summer (or move to LA!). A crossband sandal looks so nice on the foot and is really comfortable, btw.
Kerrigan Slide Sandals: A classic slide sandal in the perfect tan.
Brittin Sneakers: These are so cute! I very much appreciate a white walking sneaker for everyday, but the soles are typically always white and get dirty so fast. This probably has a chance of staying clean a bit longer.
Donna Slide Sandals: Similar to the other slides, but with a toe grip in the middle with a more cushioned sole.
And that’s it! I really hope the sale is still on tomorrow because 50% off is wowza good. I do think I might grab those sneakers, and maybe those first cut out booties…and maybe the python booties, too. What about you?!?
See you tomorrow, friends!
