My Favorite Way to Keep My Coffee Hot Every Day
I’m back, friends. Thanks to those that popped in yesterday, even when I didn’t have a post. My vertigo has lessened thankfully, though I always feel a bit off-kilter for a few days after an episode. It can be so brutal, and it always comes on suddenly. I had big plans for Sunday, to organize, clean before hosting people this Thanksgiving, and get things done that I’ve been putting off for a while. And then boom…no dice. But our bodies know best, and perhaps this was my cue to rest…as much as I can relax with a 9-month-old.
Today, I bring to you something I use every day: my Yeti insulated coffee mug.
Product name: YETI Rambler 14 oz Mug with MagSlider Lid
Why I like it: Up until about this time last year, I would drink my coffee out of a beautiful ceramic mug. Wide-brimmed, delicate handle. It was darling. What it wasn’t, however, was useful for keeping my coffee warm when I didn’t drink it fast enough, which is basically every single time. Charles has a tall Yeti tumbler I bought him for his daily tea two years ago that he just loves, so for my company Secret Santa last holiday season, I asked for a mug-style Yeti. I love this thing. I never have to go to the microwave to reheat anything, the top slider is a magnet so it unsnaps from itself to clean properly, and the handle is nice and spacious for full cupping of the mug with your palm.
My only complaint with this size, in particular, is that it is too large for a car cup holder, but I rarely take my coffee to go, so it’s not really a deal breaker. Over the years, I’ve received a lot of similar products as swag from agencies I’ve worked with and whatnot, but those always get dented, scratched, and the rubber sealing gets worn. This is on the pricier end but it’s really good quality. My mug still basically looks like new after daily use for over a year. It’s worth it, to me.
See you tomorrow, FOAS!
