New Leggings, A Fun Movie, Great PJs: 5 Quick Things
Project 365, Day 120/365
Friends! What a week! In a good way. I finally had a decent stretch of a few days and I’m SO SO grateful for that. They weren’t perfect but they felt a bit more human, and I’ll take it! What does everyone have planned for the weekend? More beach time awaits Charles and me I think, as the weather is going to be wonderous in Southern California.
This week, I have a few little things (well…five, as per usual) to share with you this week. Let’s do it:
Quick Thing #1
Enola Holmes…have you seen it on Netflix? Lately, for lillordag, Charles and I take turns picking a movie of our choice. Typically, we’ll go back and forth saying “no, not that” and “eh, maybe another day” and then end up watching episodes of Broad City or another show we’ve watched numerous times, but lillordag is different and it’s wonderful! Anyway, this week was Arlyn’s Choice, and I went with this fun little movie. I won’t go too much into the premise but Enola is the sister of Sherlock Holmes, and mysteries and adventures ensue.
Quick Thing #2
The day Charles and I got engaged all those years back, we were in New York for a work trip of mine. Charles had suggested we go to Central Park for sunset (hint hint) and I said “sure…but first I’m getting a cookie at Levain Bakery.” Levain Bakery, you see, was clear across town from where we were, and Charles as eager to do the deed, my ring clearly burning a hole in his satchel (he’d never be nuts enough to put that in his pocket in New York, of course). I insisted, as I had never been able to make it to the heralded bakery with the quarter-pound heavenly cookies on any prior trip. So Charles, the good man that he is, took several subway rides with me to get there and get a cookie, which I proceeded to eat out front with a cup of coffee on the solitary bench by the window on a chilly October afternoon. Well, now they sell their cookies—those much smaller versions—in the freezer section at Whole Foods. I picked up a box of their chocolate chip walnut and they were just wonderful. Not quite the same experience, but good enough for being on the other side of the country.
Quick Thing #3
Remember that post I did the other week about pajama sets? Well I ended up buying two sets from Target. One is a sleeveless short set it hasn’t been warm enough to wear just yet, but the other was a long sleeve short set that is perfection for spring and oh my goodness the softest thing (they only seem to have this tie-dye print, and not the floral print I ended up purchasing, though). Seriously like sleeping inside a cloud. Target PJs I bought and love to wear
Quick Thing #4
I’m always on the hunt for thick but not too thick exercise leggings, and I picked up a pair of these this week and really like them! I will say they’re a bit long for my 5’3″ frame, so I should have gotten the capris instead that probably would have hit my ankles, but overall, really happy with these. Not the least bit see-through, nice and supportive, high-waisted, and not overly tight.
Quick Thing #5
No idea if this facial massage does anything, but at the very least, it was pretty soothing. I slathered on a face oil and went to town.
See you tomorrow, FOAS (I have a little fun something for ya!).
