Sisters, Plants to Talk To, Meditation: My Tuesday Gratitudes

Project 365, Day 138/365

Hello! I’m running on high because I woke up this morning to my phone jingling to the sound of my sister FaceTiming me from her Target in Florida, showing me that she scored my curtains! Granted, she could only find four panels in the 95″ length, but there were two in 108″ that were on clearance for the same price, so I told her to grab those, and I can just hem them. YAY! Because I’m not 100% convinced they aren’t going to be too white (reminder from yesterday’s post: I want something a little bit more natural in color), I also bought the lighter color of the lined Belgian linen curtains I found on Marshalls.com. I’ll just return what doesn’t work out. And this weekend, I’m going to try to swing by Bed Bath & Beyond to pick up the curtain rods and rings, and then I’m FINALLY MAKING MOVES in my bedroom design.

Before you know it, it’ll be done…after I’m sure weeks and weeks of product delays on literally everything else. 🙂

Looking forward to a beautiful week for us all ahead. Here’s what I’m grateful for today:

I’m grateful for a sister who goes to Target for me across the country to dig around for six curtain panels.

I’m grateful for a sister who will risk the stress of the post office to mail me six curtain panels.

I’m grateful that my mom taught me to sew (so I can hem some of my curtains…wait, never mind, I’m definitely going to use sew-on hem, but I’m still grateful my mom taught me how to sew regardless).

I’m grateful for access to fresh fruits and vegetables for my cleanse.

I’m grateful to have gotten through the first hard days of a new eating challenge (and hope to be grateful in two Tuesdays from now that I’m feeling great).

I’m grateful to be so close to being “fully” vaccinated on Saturday, even though you could pry my mask from my cold, definitely-not-dead hands.

I’m grateful for a home that’s a safe space.

I’m grateful for internet videos of animals that never cease to make me giggle.

I’m grateful for plants to water and talk to (yes, I talk to my plants).

I’m grateful for the technology to be able to play video games with my nephews across the country (and lose every time).

I’m grateful for meditation and quiet time.

I’m grateful for rest.

I’m grateful for free library books I can download to my iPad (reading Glennon Doyle’s Love Warrior right now).

I’m grateful for nostalgia, even when it hurts.

I’m grateful for you, FOAS.

See you tomorrow, friends!
