Surprise Donuts, Internet Animal Videos, Air Conditioners: My Tuesday Gratitudes

What a Monday-y Monday, huh? If two Mondays had a baby that was also a Monday, today would have been that baby Monday. I promise you that. But if anything, Mondays are a reminder that Sundays and Fridays and Saturdays are a thing of beauty, amiright? Gotta stay positive somehow.

Speaking of staying positive, today is, of course, gratitude Tuesday here at Arlyn Says. A ritual I started one week because I was feeling all floaty and beamy, and have continued almost every week since. The one week I didn’t, well, it turned out to be a crap week, so no ma’am am I falling victim to that again.

Here’s what I’m thankful for today, on this Monday night:

I’m grateful for air conditioning on spring days that out of nowhere feel like summer days here in LA.

I’m grateful for funny animal videos on the Internet.

I’m grateful for connecting with friends across the country through video chats.

I’m grateful for waking up to surprise Sunday donuts (and a clean car).

I’m grateful for a physical therapist who leans on the “therapist” aspect of his job sometimes when I need it.

I’m grateful for the ocean.

I’m grateful for a dishwasher.

I’m grateful for being able to work in terrible-looking-but-highly-comfortable clothes…at home.

I’m grateful for mascara.

I’m grateful for a creative mind.

I’m grateful for weekends.

I’m grateful for that crisp “freshly changed sheets” feeling.

I’m grateful for you.
