Madewell Sale, Apple Cider Donuts, Affirmations: 5 Quick Things

Some weeks, I have SO MUCH to share by the time Friday comes. Other weeks, I’m scraping the barrel of my mind for what to bring to you in my 5 Quick Things post. I haven’t bought anything, discovered anything new, read much…this is one of those weeks. Pretty uneventful in many ways. That’s not to say I have nothing for today—I do—but just being real. Anyhow, hopefully there’s still something here for you to take away, even if it’s not a first-hand recommendation!

Quick Thing #1

Heads up! I know a handful of FOAS are Madewell fans, as I am. Their sitewide 20% off sale is happening, so might be a good time to grab some things you’ve maybe had your eye on for a bit! (I recently acquired this bag—thanks Charles!—and it’s been such a great size to use every day.)

Quick Thing #2

This is less a recommendation and more a “I plan on doing this…how about you?” I grew up always proclaiming the show The Wonder Years as my absolute favorite. I think I’ve mentioned that Charles and I have been rewatching it again on Hulu, but Fred Savage (the original Kevin Arnold) was at the helm of a reboot that just premiered. I haven’t watched it yet, but I’d like to give it a chance. How about you? I believe it’s on ABC and then available on Hulu next day.

Quick Thing #3

As we quickly head into gifting season, sometimes, I find I need a little help to get the gears churning. Whether it’s to remember where to even shop, or clever ideas I wouldn’t have thought of, or sales, I wanted to share the website The Strategist in case you don’t know it. It’s the shopping portal/editorial for NY Mag, and I always find their recommendations to be pretty good. Something to check out, perhaps.

Quick Thing #4

Four affirmations that would be good to save and refer back to when you might need it.

Quick Thing #5

I might have been sweating on my walk last night, but that won’t stop me from wanting apple cider donuts. I haven’t tried this recipe, but the photos look tasty. Anyone have any great fall baking recipes they can share?

See you Monday, FOAS.
