My Favorite Everyday Sneaker

Product name: Millie Twin Gore Slip-On Sneakers by Target

A little about them: I’ve written about these before but I recently bought two more…yup. I own three of these sneakers now. My original pair were purchased in white and are fairly filthy now. When my feet swelled up to twice their width during the later stages of my pregnancy, I tucked these away and swore I’d try washing them when they fit again. While I haven’t gotten around to that yet (I will), I saw recently that the cream and gray colors were on mega clearance (under $8 each!) so I scooped them up.

These two colors—gray and cream—are on sale for about $7.50 right now.
My momma saw my sneakers when she came to visit me and the next day, we were swinging by Target to get her a pair in cream. This is her cute little ankle.

Why I like them: Cushy insoles, subtle styling, barely any break-in period. These are my favorite slip-on everyday sneaker. They look great with nearly every style of clothing: casual, athleisure, and flowy sundresses. When my hands are full holding five bags and a baby to leave the house for 20 minutes, I can’t afford to set things down to tie laces. These slide on without even having to bend over to pull up the back with my hand. I normally wear a 7.5 for open-toe shoes and am a solid 8 for closed-toe shoes, but a 7 fits perfectly. They run a touch narrow and even though my foot is a bit on the wider side, they still feel very comfortable for long stretches of walking.

AND SURPRISE! A few of you seemed bummed I mentioned a baby octopus without any proof of said baby octopus, so today comes with a little treat. Introducing: El Pulpo. Pulpo is Spanish for octopus, and quickly became Evelyn’s nickname for her penchant for suctioning everything with her mouth.

See you tomorrow, FOAS.
