Project 365, Day 148/365

FRIENDS, WE MADE IT TO FRIDAY! I hope many of you have a long weekend. I don’t, sadly, but I’m lucky to get to work from home currently so it’s a bit less painful. Thank you all for your beautiful, engaging comments this week. So much vulnerability, so much kindness and love. It floors me every day. Thank you for being here and caring even a little bit about the words I expel from my fingertips. 🙂

Here are this week’s 5 quick things:

Quick Thing #1

This weekend, I hope to put up my new draperies (well…the two I’m decided between…and then decide). But first, I need curtain rods. I’ve used the same brand for close to 10 years because they are 100% the best bang for your buck. I have the Cambria Premium rods from Bed Bath & Beyond in black, warm gold, and silver in my home. I’m going the warm gold route in my bedroom because the black will be too severe against the pinky peach walls. I normally pair them with the clip rings for a more polished look. (DON’T FORGET YOUR BB&B COUPONS!).

Quick Thing #2

A very, VERY good reminder.

Quick Thing #3

I’ve been on a big sneaker kick lately. Some of the physical therapists at the practice I go to wear the coolest sneakers, and I’m itching for some but haven’t landed on a pick yet. In the meantime, I needed a new pair of easy-t0-wear, slip-ons and grabbed these from Target. Super basic, but WOW so comfortable. I ordered my normal size 8 however, and they were at least a full-size too large. Once I can find a 7, I’m sure I’ll live in these until they’re absolutely filthy…and then I’ll try to wash them and likely ruin them (I hope not).

Quick Thing #4

I’ve written about my love of my Silpats before (and have them linked on the My Faves portion of my website…which I’m seriously behind on updating), but Charles’ close friend—a reader of the blog—texted him recently about how he took my recommendations and he was seriously impressed. They are truly the best. Not having to deal with parchment paper or aluminum foil is glorious, plus it creates less waste and nothing sticks to them. Take note that a “half sheet” size is a specific sheet pan size. It’s much larger than your traditional sheet pan size, but if you can pick up one (or two) of those, as well, you’ll really feel like an ace in the kitchen.

Quick Thing #5

Has anyone seen the Friends Reunion on HBO Max yet? I’m saving it for tonight (or maybe tomorrow…depends on how sleepy I get) and I’m SO excited. My best friend and my sister both texted me about it all Thursday night, and I had some serious FOMO, but I’ll get to it.
