Where to Stream Christmas Movies, Black Friday Finds, A Clever Paint Trick: 5 Quick Things

It’s here! It’s Friday! Woo! A week following a holiday always inexplicably feels longer than normal, but I’m happy to say that wasn’t the case for me this time. I only want a week to feel long when it’s full of good, exciting things, not the mundane, and this was a very mundane week, so I welcome that it felt well-timed and not overextended. Each day was punctuated with the exciting arrival of some of the things I was either waiting on for my bedroom or that I ordered over the Cyber weekend (mostly for baby, but one thing for me I’ll share below).

This week has also strangely felt like the beginning of the final act of the play I’ve been living this last year. It’s not, but it does feel like it. From the unexpected end of physical therapy, to some of the post I’ve been writing, and even some things personally that seem to be hopefully coming to a resolution…it all kind of feels like the last few episodes of a long-running show where everything is trying to be tied up with a little bow. Maybe it’s just because it’s the last month of the year, maybe it’s because I’m in the last stretch of pregnancy, but there’s a sense of “change” in the air I can’t shake. In just a handful of weeks, things will never be the same again, and I’m certainly internalizing that in many areas of my life.

Anyhow, being that it’s Friday, I have some things to share!

Quick Thing #1

As I mentioned, I tried to check a lot of boxes on my list of “things I need for bebe” while things were on sale. Sadly, a lot of my high ticket items never went on sale, but I did make a dent. One thing I got for myself was a weekender bag I’ve been eyeing for literal years. It’s the Catalina Deluxe from the brand Lo & Sons and I’m so happy with it. The quality is superb, it has so many useful pockets (including my favorite part: a bottom separately zipped compartment for shoes and anything you want to keep separate), opens wide unlike the current bag I have, and fits SO MUCH. I bought it to bring to the hospital with me but also know it’ll be my go-to for overnight or weekend stays for many years to come.

Quick Thing #2

Okay, hear me out on this one. What if I told you I found the most comfortable underwear EVER (even more comfortable than the ones from Gap I blogged about a while back, which I still love but these are softer)? And that a pack of five was about $12? The thing is…they’re technically “pregnancy” or “postpartum” underwear BUT BUT BUT, omg they are amazing. I’m on my second pack because they are the only thing I want to wear, and I swear, they are only pregnancy underwear by name. They would fit me completely normal if I didn’t have a 7-month belly, and I plan on continuing to wear these after because I love them so much. Buttery soft, do not roll down or bunch, and just fantastic. Don’t let the “pregnancy” label stop…

Quick Thing #3

I love this room for reminding me that sometimes, the color doesn’t need to be on the walls to be impactful. Think outside the wall…

Quick Thing #4

While I usually try to recommend things I have first-hand experience with, I bookmarked these Persian rice-stuffed onions recently and desperately want to make them. How delicious do these look?

Quick Thing #5

I’m a big holiday movie person (meaning, I watch the same movies every year over and over again with much delight). I don’t always know where to find the things I want to see on streaming since we don’t have cable here. I found this list to have most of what I enjoy and where to watch it. Helpful! What are your must-watch Christmas movies??

See you Monday, FOAS.
