Happy Thanksgiving, FOAS
My friends. I’ve been MIA. A part of me has felt bad that I didn’t take the time to pop on here as I’m doing now to say hello or explain why I’ve been away, but another part of me felt pretty dang free not being accountable to myself here (not proud of that, it just is). Some of you sweet souls even reached out to make sure all was fine. Yes! All is fine! Thank you.
Working in e-commerce, the week leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday feels a bit like running a marathon on gravel, barefoot. Add to that the genius idea to get two large furniture deliveries on the same day (Monday), which required dismantling a room Sunday night until my body ached. Okay, so Charles did most of the work there, but I still ached “helping”, working until much later than either of us anticipated.
Then just pure exhaustion from some life projects and work projects and a big ol’ baby belly.
I’ll be traveling today and not bringing my personal laptop, so this will be my last post until next Monday, but I wanted to quickly say, as I type from my phone, how grateful and thankful I have been for you and this community this past year. You have been such a strength and support to me in ways you’ll never know. A year of hardship physically, sometimes despair, sometimes hope, sometimes being completely lost, you got me through.
Thank you for being here. For showing up for me always. May you all have a beautiful holiday if you’re here in the states, and if you’re elsewhere and don’t observe Thanksgiving, may you have a great rest of your week!
See you Monday, FOAS.
