My Favorite Travel Toiletry Bag
Happy day-after-the-rain here in Los Angeles. My heart was so comforted and content hearing the pitter-patter (and occasional sloshing) of the rain on Tuesday. It likely won’t rain again for weeks or months, so I tried to enjoy it as best I could even though I was in meetings for four hours straight.
Today, I bring to you a bag I’ve had for years. My trusty travel toiletry bag. It’s come with me anytime I’ve left the house overnight and beyond. I’ve tried numerous types in the past. Dopp kit-type bags with a singular compartment and top zipper. Oversized makeup bags. Square, open zip bags. My toiletries always ended up disorganized, hard to reach (taking five things out just to find one thing is not what I’m about), or shoved in a random place or outside the bathroom in hotels or homes with minimal counter space.
Product name: Bagsmart Hanging Toiletry Bag
A little about it: This is a helpful, efficient, utility purchase that will provide you with service for years to come. While it’s not necessarily what I would normally go for “aesthetically,” (there’s nothing wrong with it just not the design I’m drawn to), it’s the little travel bag that could with high marks for being smartly designed and working exactly how I wished it would.
What I like about it: This thing is like Mary Poppin’s bag. When it zips up, it’s fairly compact, but when you open it up, it just keeps on keepin’ on. So much fits inside. All my bathing toiletries, face wash, moisturizer, sunscreen, jewelry, makeup brushes, prescriptions and vitamins…it’s nearly magic. One of the best parts is the top and bottom zipper on some of the compartments, which means you can access your things no matter how you have the bag hanging or draped or stored. It also has these elastic holders for your bottles so things stay upright and not strewn about.
See you tomorrow, FOAS!
